Sobha Viswanath

Sobha Viswanath's public work before Bigg Boss was centred on handloom, sustainable fashion and social entrepreneurship. She founded Weavers Village in Thiruvananthapuram in 2012, building the venture around traditional textiles and weaving communities.

Her work has also included public initiatives that connected handloom with social causes. She was associated with Pinkathon in Kerala and took part in distance-running events wearing a saree, using those appearances to draw attention to handloom.

Following the 2018 Kerala floods, Sobha was involved with the Bhoomika initiative, where handmade dolls became part of fundraising efforts for affected families. That project reflected the way her design work often overlapped with community activity.

She entered Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 5 as an original contestant and reached the grand finale, eventually finishing fourth. Throughout the season, her association with sarees and handloom remained visible, carrying the identity of her work into one of Malayalam television's largest reality programmes.
