Alina Padikkal

Alina Padikkal grew up in front of Malayalam television audiences. She began presenting as a child through Asianet's Butterflies and later developed a career that moved between anchoring, entertainment programmes and acting.

Her presenting work included programmes on Kiran TV, Surya TV, Asianet Plus and Kairali TV, while her work as an anchor earned her the Kerala State Television Award for Best Anchor in 2005. After a break to focus on her studies, she returned to television with shows including Smart Show, Komady Circus, Hot n' Spicy and D4 Dance Junior vs Senior.

Alina later became familiar as an actress through the Asianet serial Bharya, where she played Nayana. That role added scripted television to a career that had already been strongly associated with presenting.

She entered Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 2 as an original contestant in January 2020. Alina was still part of the competition when the season was discontinued because of the COVID-19 pandemic, so her run did not end through a conventional eviction or finale result.
