Biggboss Malayalam Season 7

Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 7, themed "7nte Pani," was hosted for the seventh consecutive year by superstar Mohanlal. The season premiered on August 3, 2025, and concluded with a grand finale on November 9, 2025. It broke several long-standing traditions, starting with a premiere that saw the host lighting a firecracker instead of a traditional lamp. For the first time, the show was filmed in a custom-built house in Chennai designed specifically for the Malayalam version, hosting a diverse lineup of 25 contestants, including actors, social media influencers, and the show's first-ever lesbian couple, Adhila Nasarin and Noora Fathima.

The season concluded with television actress Anumol R. S. lifting the trophy, becoming only the second female winner in the franchise's history. She was awarded a cash prize of approximately ₹42.5 lakh and a brand-new SUV. The competition was historic as Aneesh Tharayil, a writer and farmer, became the first-ever "commoner" contestant to reach the top two, finishing as the 1st runner-up. Other finalists included popular TV actor Shanavas Shanu (2nd runner-up), fashion stylist Nevin Cappresious (3rd runner-up), and playback singer Akbar Khan (4th runner-up).

The 98-day journey was marked by high emotional drama and was often dubbed the "Season of Tears" because several male contestants faced intense public trials over their character. Major incidents included Shanavas Shanu’s temporary medical evacuation and return, and a massive controversy involving Akbar Khan, who was criticized for his "septic tank" remark toward housemate Renu Sudhi. The season also dealt with modern reality TV issues, such as the winner Anumol openly admitting to using a paid PR campaign to manage her image, which sparked heated debates among the audience about the fairness of digital voting in the current era.
