Biography

Ranjeet Munshi is an active presence in the film and television industry. Ranjeet has been in films and television since his debut in the film Varnachirakukal in 1993. He started his career in television with the Doordarshan serial Vamsham. Although he has been a part of many television serials, it was the popular political and social satire show Munshi on Asianet News that made him famous. The success of Barber Bhagyam in Munshi marked Ranjeet as an actor and as a television figure. The popularity of Munshi earned him the name Munshi Ranjeet.

Ranjeet was born in Karunagappalli, Kollam. Ranjeet completed his undergraduate degree from DB College, Sasthamkotta and later graduated from MG University. After Munshi, Ranjeet was praised for his television serial Megham. He also appeared in television shows like Tarotsavam and Nakshatra Deepangal. He is also known for his ability to play both comedy and character roles. Some of Ranjeet's notable films include Monai Arvi Aanay, Minster Bean- The Last Riot, Natakame Ulakam, Not Out, Raghu's Own Rasiya, and Pathompatham Noontandu. Ranjeet's last film to hit the theatres was Ravindra Nee Ede, starring Anoop Menon, Dhyan Sreenivasan, and Sheelu Abraham in the lead roles.

Ranjeet has previously revealed that he was invited to ''Bigg Boss''. Despite saying that he has been active for decades, Ranjeet Munshi is not someone who has expressed his opinions on television or in public forums. Ranjeet has also said that he made it clear that he was not there because he wanted to use ''Bigg Boss'' as a platform for that and because he needed preparations. It is certain that Ranjeet Munshi has something to say and inform the audience. If so, could this arrival have been a learning experience for ''Bigg Boss''?
