The season began with 17 original contestants. Manikandan Thonnakkal entered as the first wildcard, followed by Riyas Salim and Vinay Madhav, bringing the season total to 20 contestants.
Ticket to Finale became the main late-season qualification series, with Dilsha Prasannan leading the standings and securing the direct finale route. Riyas Salim also became one of the most prominent late entrants and reached the final stage.
The grand finale was held on 3 July 2022. Dilsha Prasannan won the season, becoming the first woman to win Bigg Boss Malayalam. Blesslee finished second and Riyas Salim third.
