Debjani Modak

Debjani Modak is an actress from Kolkata who has worked across Bengali cinema and Bengali, Tamil and Telugu television. Her acting journey began unusually early: she has recalled being noticed by a television team while returning from mathematics tuition during her school years.

Debjani made her film debut with the Bengali film Knockout in 2013 and later entered Bengali television through Aponjon. She also appeared in serials including Om Namah Shivay and Phoolmoni, building experience in mythological, family-drama and mainstream television formats.

Her career then expanded into South Indian television. Tamil audiences saw her in serials including Rasaathi and Vanathai Pola. She entered Telugu television through Star Maa's Ennenno Janmala Bandham, where she became familiar to a new audience despite initially not speaking Telugu fluently.

Debjani was introduced as the first contestant of Bigg Boss Telugu Season 10 during the 6 September 2026 grand premiere. Her entry placed a multilingual television actress at the front of the launch lineup.
