Her major breakthrough came when she was selected as a housemate for the second season of Bigg Boss, hosted by Shilpa Shetty. During the show, she became known for a unique twist where her twin sister, Sana, was briefly swapped into the house to surprise the other contestants. Alina's stay in the house lasted 33 days before she was evicted. Following her stint on reality television, she explored opportunities in modeling and was the subject of various media reports regarding her aspirations in Bollywood. She also contributed as a guest blogger for entertainment platforms, where she shared her perspectives on the challenges and realities of the Indian film industry.
In addition to her media presence, Alina has been involved in professional roles outside of the spotlight. She has served as a Chief Operating Officer in her father's office, balancing her corporate responsibilities with her interests in writing and advocacy.
